I didn’t cry today and I was tested 100x. I now fly away on a solo trip to a surreal Costa Rica. Much deserved and needed.

heading to costa rica……to start new series

It is 12:30am and I am leaving for Costa Rica in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Such crazy stress just trying to get ready for this trip. Non- stop printing . I have packed 7 books, my ipod, a gameboy and 2 cameras for 9 days. I am planning on going from today until next Friday, though may need a few more days. The last few months have been intense. Need the ocean and sunlight.

My highs come with lows.

I need to walk around with new eyes and remember that I am an artist. Need to be thankful. Need to stay in the moment. Need to redefine my definition of success.

I plan on starting a “secret” new series of images while there. I’m sure I will take a lot of Polaroids of surfing, though I am ready to make new art.
