I took this image in Cabarete,Dominican Republic sometime in January of 2011. This is the spot that I arrived to every morning to rent a board and go surfing. It made me so happy, that I must have taken 100 pics of this same image just to make sure the camera had it memorized. Each day after surfing at this spot I would catch a scooter ride back to town and take a nap until dinner. There is a quote that I like “God created memories so we can have roses in December” This image makes me feel bright and happy on cold days in Brooklyn
